Guitar Seekers: Hair Banging History awaits…
1986 Fender Stratocaster BOXER Series ST-556
This Fender is an A-series (circa 1985 ~ 1986). Made in Japan!
The Boxer was recognized with a reissue in 2020s,
HERE IS YOUR CHANCE TO GET AN ORIGINAL MADE IN 80s BOXER STRAT IN GREAT CONDITION.
This 35+-year-old Shredder from the 80s is beautiful looking and in amazing condition. Currently, the Boxer series is a new focus at Fender Japan for their Classic model reissues. And this White and Black Boxer has that 80s spandex and shred all over it. As a hair metal choice axe, it’s set up with more appropriate pickups that scream and ear shrill at a twist of the knobs.
The Tone control is unique, controls the level of bass and treble, not so much “tone” as it was for putting out loudness. It also has a unique bridge and tuners system to keep things solid tight as 80s shredding demanded.
Produced in JAPAN in the 80’s
(where strats were still being produced high quality during that era)
A unique Strat that incorporated the modern specification demands of the 80s.
2x Fender Hot Rod single-coil pickups and 1x Fender Dragster humbucker, along with a 5-way selector and one master volume, and one tone control.
Rosewood fingerboard, factory painted black neck, and headstock to match the pickguard. This strat Boxer uses the Fender Blade Shooter trem system.
Very good to great overall cosmetic condition. Plays nicely as it should. Frets have plenty of life left and are shiny. Might as well “Jump” on this classic original A series Boxer Stratocaster from Fender.
