The Yamaha FG-300D Dreadnought Acoustic was the top-of-the-line, non-hand built guitar of that era and well known for its expert build with a sweet tone and deep bass. Crafted with a Spruce top, Rosewood back and sides and fretboard, and this one has special split block and dot inlays. Hardware is gold and holds tune well. Saddle has life left and frets are still at 85-90% life.
The guitar is in good condition, and would be very good to great except for the few cosmetics. It has aged very well into a vintage rich tone, loud and full, with action set low for easy play. Neck is good, minor nick but smooth, frets are healthy (85%), and saddle has plenty of life left.
This FG 300D was a players guitar. The top and sides and back show little wear (see pics), and has a sun mark on top, and couple sticker pearl dot inlays missing. Easy fix if desired, as all issues are pure cosmetics.
Nothing structural that would inhibit play.
Price reflects the cosmetic issues.
